MBIA’s Commercial Securitization Group provides credit enhancement for Commercial Real Estate transactions.

Typically, such transactions involve pools of first mortgage loans or pools of lease receivables originated by banks, REIT’s or other Commercial Real Estate (CRE) sponsors. Transactions may be public or private.

Underlying property types may run the gamut of CRE property types, and may be comprised of a single property type. The underlying CRE may be of large loan, conduit, franchise and small business (or SME) use.

MBIA will insure single Sponsor or single Borrower transactions, but generally requires a diversity of properties and obligors responsible for the underlying cashflow.
