Karleen Strayer is a managing
director and the Head of Global
Enterprise within the Public Finance
Department at MBIA Insurance Corporation.
Her responsibilities include business
origination for the healthcare,
higher education, housing and
non-profit sectors. Ms. Strayer
began her career at MBIA in 1992
in the Insured Portfolio Management
Department and she has held positions
of increasing responsibility at
MBIA since then. Prior to joining
MBIA, Ms. Strayer served as a
Vice President in the Public Banking
Department at The First National
Bank of Chicago, providing credit
enhancement and other financial
products and services to hospitals,
universities and cultural institutions.
Ms. Strayer received an MBA in
Finance from the University of
Michigan School of Business Administration
and a Bachelor of Science degree
in Economics from Nebraska Wesleyan
University.
