In this capacity, Mr. Braunstein is responsible for securitizing operating equipment such as aircraft, railcars, shipping containers, truck chassis, etc, as well as whole company securitizations. Prior to this position, Mr. Braunstein was responsible for MBIA’s commercial real estate business where he developed new business and worked with corporate and affordable housing clients. He joined MBIA in 1999 as a director in the Corporate Asset-Backed Group From 1993 to 1999, Mr. Braunstein worked for National Cooperative Bank.
